He has conceptualized, developed, and provided technical inputs to numerous maternal newborn, and child health projects. His contribution to the policy and program dialogue has been immensely supportive. He has played a significant part in many task forces and committees in India and across the globe. He continues to support the formulation of strategies and interventions to address issues concerning Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health, Maternal and Child Health, HIV and AIDS in the country.

Priyanka Sreenath, Deputy Director
She is a Deputy Director at Mamta HIMC with expertise in Mass Communication and Journalism. She has more than 15 years of experience in the social development sector. She is also a certified trainer on ‘Gender and Sexuality’ and her expertise lies in communications for development (C4D), managing national and international projects, advocacy, networking and capacity building, especially in the context of Young Peoples’ Sexual and Reproductive Health. She has been working extensively on the issue of child marriage for the past decade, which is a significant violation of child rights and also a major social determinant of sexual and reproductive health among young people.
Murari Chandra, Deputy Director
He is a Deputy Director in Mamta and a trained professional from the International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD-Sweden) on the issue of gender and local democracy and leads the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) vertical in the organization. He has a decade and a half of experience in the development sector, specializing in gender mainstreaming, capacity building, and providing technical support in implementation, monitoring and evaluation. He completed his M.Phil. from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, and also holds a Masters in Business Administration in Human Resource Management.

He is a Deputy Director at Mamta HIMC with a stronghold in developing and implementing programs on Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN). He comes with more than 15 years of experience and, at present leads the MNCHN vertical in Mamta. He assists in the management of MNCHN projects on a national and international level. His expertise in program implementation has also earned him the Tom Hogg Award in 2005, given by Oregon State University to international scholars. He holds a master’s degree in Social Work from AMU, India, and an M.Sc. in Applied Anthropology from Oregon State University, USA.
Dr. Shantanu Sharma, Deputy Director
He completed MBBS, MD, and DNB in Community Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University. As Deputy Director at Mamta HIMC, he oversees the RMNCH+A vertical. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. from Lund University, Sweden. He has contributed to various projects including maternal, child and adolescent health, diabetes and hypertension, HIV prevention among MSM and Hepatitis among IDUs. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in Health and Family Welfare Management from NIHFW, Delhi. In the past, he worked as a medical officer at the Delhi government dispensary. Further, he has more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals, including international journals.

Over the years, he has worked in the Non-Government and Government sectors on Maternal and Child Health and Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health. He is trained as an Allopathic Medical Doctor and also holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the USA in Environmental Health. With the experience of more than 15 years in public health, he has worked with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), WHO-NPSP, Jhpiego, IPE Global, University of Alabama at Birmingham-USA and the University of Columbia at Missouri-USA. A public health professional with more than 15 years of experience. In the past, he has worked for WHO as a Rapid Response Team Member for MMR Campaign. In Mamta, he led the state teams of Rajasthan, Delhi, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh in different projects. Apart from this, for two years he was working as Technical Director with FactIndepthIndia Research and Development. Additionally, he has worked with UNICEF, SMNet as a Sub Regional Coordinator for Intensive Pulse Polio. He is also actively involved in organizing and conducting events to enhance the capacities of field staff and understand the different opportunities of advocacy and need-base IEC material for the program objectives. He has successfully led a workforce of more than 500 people. He is also recipient of the Faqr-e Hind (Pride of Nation) award due to his extraordinary contribution to the field of Art.

He is a postgraduate in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia and has extensive experience of more than 17 years in public health issues, especially in HIV and TB. He started his career with CARE India in Uttar Pradesh and worked in the technical support unit of NACO to support targeted interventions managed by Delhi SACS. He has also engaged with organisations such as DFID, IMACS and PHFI. He has been associated with Mamta HIMC since 2011, currently serving as Assistant Director and managing projects supported by the Global Fund, JEET, and REACH.
Dr. Devika Mehra, Senior Assistant Director
She is an Senior Assistant Director for Monitoring, Evaluation and Research. She has over a decade of experience in the development sector. She has a PhD in Public Health from Lund University (Sweden) and MSc. in International Health Management and Development from University of Birmingham (UK). She has expertise in conducting implementation research, evidence-building, monitoring & evaluation of programs, and interventions focusing on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Gender based violence, HIV among young and key populations using m-health, mental Health and child marriage in Africa (South Africa and Uganda) and Asia (India and Nepal). She is a lead quantitative researcher in a project on sexual violence among youth in India (funded by Physicians for Social Responsibility, Finland), improving mental wellbeing and resilience among adolescents and young married women within Government of India’s RMNCHA strategy with a corporate donor (SBI card and KPMG) and is providing technical assistance to WHO (Geneva) on the youth health situation of adolescents in Afghanistan. She also has significant number of scientific publications that she has authored and co-authored.
Dr. Gaurav Sethi, Assistant Director
He is an Assistant Director at Mamta HIMC and leads the Himachal Pradesh state team. A public health specialist with a decade of experience in health management and public health. His expertise lies in maternal and child health, quality improvement, non-communicable diseases, adolescent health and system strengthening. Previously, he worked with the state government, central government, and international organizations. He is responsible for the development, implementation, liaisoning, and advocacy of MAMTA's programs. He is a member of the NCD expert committee and contributes to the guidelines for the prevention, surveillance and management of non-communicable diseases in primary and secondary health care. He is also a member of the World NCD Federation & IAPEN (Indian Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition).
Kundan Singh Adhikari, Regional Manager
He joined MAMTA in June 2007 as Senior Programme Officer- Finance. At present he works as Regional Manager-Finance. He oversees payments to vendors and coordination with banks. He has completed a B.Com and has more than 20 years experience in accounts and bookkeeping.
Dr. Jaya Tripathi, Regional Manager
She is a Regional Manager for the Nutrition Program at Mamta HIMC and is responsible for the implementation of nutrition projects across geographies. She has experience in program planning and implementation, linkage negotiation and documentation. Previously, she has engaged with senior stakeholders from Central and State Government Departments, international organizations, academic institutions and the large-scale food production industries. Prior to joining Mamta, she worked as Program Manager with KHPT on a Large Scale Edible Oil, Milk and Wheat Flour Fortification Project funded by Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) across 22 states of India. She holds a Ph.D. in Food Science and Nutrition and was involved in advance research in the field of food science. She was also a Junior and Senior Research Fellowship from the University Grant Commission from 2014-2018 to pursue her doctorate. Her publications include 9 research papers, 2 books and 2 chapters in books.

She is Senior Assistant Director at Mamta HIMC. She comes with a decade of experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and has led varied networks and coalitions in the country. She has expertise in working on family planning, self-abortion, and population policy. She has conducted qualitative studies in Assam, Nagaland and Manipur on the ethics of Artificial Reproductive Technologies (ARTs) to highlight the impact of ARTs on women’s health and agency. She is currently engaged in various family planning programmes for young and low-parity couples in Uttar Pradesh. She has also implemented Rashtriya Kishore Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) - the national adolescent health programme across five districts of Uttar Pradesh. She is engaged in designing interventions and programmes to reach out to the most marginalized groups through mobile-based interventions, which have been piloted and scaled to South-Asian countries like Indonesia and Cambodia.

She has extensive experience in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating health systems. Dr Pratibha Verma, Assistant Director
She is Assistant Director at Mamta HIMC for Nutrition, Research and Program Implementation. She comes with more than 25 years of experience in conducting community-based research projects evaluating the role of micronutrients in childhood morbidities, nutrition, growth and development of children in developing country settings like India, Bangladesh and Tanzania. Previously, she worked as a senior research investigator and head of the academic division at CPHK (Center for Public Health Kinetics, New Delhi). She holds a Ph.D. degree in Nutrition from Delhi University and a post-graduate Diploma in Public Health Nutrition from PHFI. She has presented papers at various national and international conferences and published papers/abstracts in reputed peer-reviewed journals and proceedings of international/national conferences.
Dr. Priyanka Rani Garg, Assistant Director
She is an Anthropologist with a Ph.D. in Biological Anthropology from the University of Delhi and a national-level Research Fellowship awardee (UGC-NET-JRF). She has expertise in conducting implementation research, evidence-building, monitoring & evaluation of programs, and interventions at social, clinical, and public health interfaces in the fields of Non-Communicable diseases, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. Currently, at Mamta she is the Assistant Director and responsible for leading and implementing projects in RMNCH+A. She has been instrumental in carrying out mobile health application-based interventions and research, nationally and in South-Asian countries such as Cambodia. Her rich experience in her field is also evident from the significant number of quality research papers she has authored and co-authored.
Rishi Garg, Regional Manager
He holds a Masters degree in Public Health & Sociology and has been working in the public health sector for over 17 years as Monitoring and Evaluation expert for the Government of India (MoHFW) and national and international agencies like WHO, PHFI and AIIMS. He has proven expertise in developing data collection tools using CS-PRo, MIS applications and conducting extensive analyses using SPSS. As Regional Manager at Mamta, he is responsible for providing MEL support and also implementing MIS Systems. Further, he conducts regular monitoring for various projects funded by WHO, USAID and Nestle. He has made a significant contribution by developing and managing an institutional MIS/Dashboard. He has more than 15 years of experience in planning and executing community-based randomized controlled trials in India, collaborating with internationally renowned research and academic institutions. He is on the review committee of 3 international medical journals. He holds a Predoctoral degree in Future Studies, Master's in Population Studies, and Business Administration. Completed a Graduate Course in International Community Health from the University of Oslo & Basics in Health Economics from the World Bank Institute. He has worked with multiple state government health departments for monitoring & evaluation systems. In the past, he has worked with institutions like Xavier Institute of Management, King George’s Medical University – Johns Hopkins School of Public Health Projects (Saksham Study Group), The INCLEN Trust International, PHFI, Population Council, & Ahead Institute of Social & Scientific Research. Previously, he has managed online and offline campaigns for awareness and fundraising. Further, he has played a crucial role in building and leading the communications verticals of several non-profits at the grassroots level and for-profit social enterprises. In the past, he has also worked with Jan Sahas, Tata Trusts, Bihar Vikas Mission (Govt. of Bihar), UNESCO Chair for Community Media, University of Hyderabad, UNICEF, PUKAR and Ideosync. He has completed MA in Media & Cultural Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai, Diploma in Advertising and PR from Welinkar Institute of Management, Mumbai and Bachelors in Management Studies from Mumbai University. As Assistant Director in Mamta HIMC, he is responsible for strengthing the visibility of the organisation and overseeing the overall organisational communication, and further building new strategic partnerships.
Surmala Kshetrimayum, Regional Manager
She holds a Ph.D. & M.Phil. in Anthropology from the University of Delhi. She has worked on several government-funded research projects in collaboration with SERB, DST, DBT & UK Research Councils and has gained experience working with government hospitals such as Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, Delhi. Her area of emphasis lies in public health with a core interest in cardio-metabolic and lifestyle diseases and nutrition. Further, she has research experience in the field of reproductive health among tribal populations. She has published research articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. At Mamta, she is responsible for developing research designs and protocols, tools and data analysis for multiple projects.
Dr Viral Bajwala, Assistant Director
He is an MBBS graduate with a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology and Health Systems) from the National Institute of Epidemiology (Indian Council of Medical Research), Chennai. He has more than 10 years of experience working as a public health professional with governmental and non-governmental (not-for-profit) organisations. He passionately worked as a team lead for primary health care in AB-HWC (Urban Primary Health Centre) under different domains such as Health System Strengthening; Maternal and Child Health; Infectious diseases; Non-communicable diseases; training and capacity building; research and MEL in alignment to Sustainable Development Goal 3 with special focus on needy and marginalized communities. Presently he is working as Assistant Director in MAMTA leading multiple projects by international organizations and CSR under the RMNCH+A theme. He is a continuous learner, proactive, and an excellent team leader.
