To effectively engage communities in the fight against tuberculosis (TB) in India, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) is implementing the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (PMTBMBA).

The Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (PMTBMBA) has several objectives, including:

  • Increasing community involvement: The initiative aims to increase community participation in the fight against tuberculosis (TB).
  • Reducing stigma: The initiative aims to reduce the stigma associated with TB.
  • Improving treatment outcomes: The initiative aims to improve treatment outcomes for TB patients by providing additional support.
  • Increasing public awareness: The initiative aims to increase public awareness about TB.
  • Reducing out-of-pocket expenses: The initiative aims to reduce the out-of-pocket expenses for TB patients' families

Your donation to MAMTA will give the benefit of 50% exemption as per section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1956. As per the Indian Income Tax Authority Rule, a donor is required to provide Permanent Account Number (PAN) to get the 80G certificate.

MAMTA is committed to supporting the government’s efforts to eliminate TB, a commitment that is reflected in the institution’s strategic plan. MAMTA has successfully implemented TB projects across various states in India, focusing on core areas such as community engagement, private sector involvement, and providing nutritional support.

A key feature of the PMTBMBA initiative is providing nutritional support to TB patients. MAMTA is a registered Nikshay Mitra and has extended nutritional aid to TB patients in select districts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Punjab.

MAMTA is seeking support from individuals, corporations, institutions, and organizations to help make the PMTBMBA a success and to ensure that TB patients receive the nutritional assistance they need in the journey to eliminate TB from the country.
