Journeys: A glimpse of some of the lives that we touched
Journey is a collection of stories of the lives of a few adolescents and their families whom we touched through our intervention, “Meri Life Meri Choice,” supported by Elton John AIDS Foundation. Hand Book on Advocacy
Many organizations engage in some or the other form of advocacy. Many of them are unaware of the fact that they are engaged in advocacy efforts while they are spreading awareness and mobilizing people towards achieving their rightful claims. Advocacy happens to be a means and not an end in itself. Many a times our efforts fetch us the desired results over a considerable period of time. Introspection and sharing of our efforts and experiences help to determine future actions. Sharing such experiences help advocates in strengthening their own efforts in whatever field they are engaged in. This handbook endeavors to enhance the capacity of advocates to carry out organized efforts and actions. These efforts and actions are capable of bringing results. It brings forth the different advocacy tools that can be utilized to sharpen effort, skills and methodologies in the most effective and economic way. It will help future advocates in their efforts and initiatives.
